Meet Kids Book Hub
Kids Book Hub is a year-round book discovery platform designed to help families find high-quality children’s books — many of them free or discounted during special events.
Through seasonal reading festivals, curated book lists, and author features, we connect young readers with stories they’ll love.
Our goal is simple:
Make discovering great children’s books easy, accessible, and exciting.
How It Works
Throughout the year, Kids Book Hub hosts themed reading events that highlight free and discounted children’s books across multiple age groups.
Families can browse, download, and explore new titles — while authors gain meaningful visibility within a growing community of readers.
Participation is always optional and designed to keep the joy of reading at the center.
Why It Exists
Finding great children’s books shouldn’t feel overwhelming.
With thousands of titles available across platforms, families often struggle to know where to start — especially when looking for affordable options.
Kids Book Hub was created to simplify that discovery process and support authors who are passionate about writing for young readers.
About the Founder
Kids Book Hub was founded by Jeanette Lerio, a children’s author, reviewer, editor, and homeschool mom who believes that stories shape hearts and imaginations.
Through her work reviewing both traditionally published and indie children’s books, she saw a need for a centralized place where families could discover great titles — and where authors could showcase their work during coordinated events.
What started as a simple idea quickly grew into a passion project rooted in a love for books, learning, and community. Every part of Kids Book Hub — from reviewing books to organizing events like the Summer Reading Kids Fest — is built with the goal of connecting families with meaningful stories and supporting authors along the way.
Behind the scenes, Jeanette is also a wife, a mom to a young son, and works part-time in payroll and bookkeeping. Much of this work happens in the in-between moments — during nap times, early mornings, and late evenings.
Because of that, responses, updates, and social posts may not always be immediate — but they are always thoughtful and intentional.
Kids Book Hub is truly a labor of love, and every message, submission, and connection is deeply appreciated.
Looking Ahead
Kids Book Hub is still growing — and the vision is just getting started.
What began as a way to connect families with great books has quietly become something bigger: a platform for indie children's authors to find real readers, a space for book discovery that feels personal rather than algorithmic, and a foundation for editorial and review services that support the children's book community from every angle.
In the coming months, look for expanded seasonal reading events, curated book spotlights, and — for authors — the introduction of professional manuscript review and editorial services through Little Lantern Reviews.
This is just the beginning. And we're so glad you're here for it.
