Our Approach to AI
At Kids Book Hub, we believe technology is a tool — and like any tool, it can be used responsibly or irresponsibly.
As conversations around artificial intelligence continue to evolve, we want to be transparent about how AI may be used within Kids Book Hub, related projects, and some associated content. AI-assisted tools may occasionally help with things such as brainstorming, editing, organization, graphics, marketing materials, social media planning, template emails, workflow support, and in some cases, portions of creative content or illustrations.
That said, all final decisions, reviews, approvals, curation, and publishing choices are made by a human being.
Kids Book Hub is truly a one-woman operation — built between family life, homeschooling, homesteading, a part-time payroll job, and a deep passion for helping connect children with books. Without the assistance of modern tools — including AI in some capacities — many of the resources, outreach efforts, and organizational systems behind Kids Book Hub simply would not be possible.
We also recognize and respect that creators, illustrators, authors, and readers may have differing opinions about AI. Some concerns are absolutely valid, especially when AI is used to imitate, copy, or profit from another creator’s work without permission. We do not support dishonest, exploitative, or intentionally deceptive uses of AI.
At the same time, we also recognize that independent authors and small creators often work with extremely limited budgets while carrying the full financial burden of publishing, marketing, and distributing their work. Ethical AI-assisted tools can help level the playing field and allow smaller creators to bring meaningful projects to life that otherwise may never exist.
We believe intent, honesty, and transparency matter.
For us, AI is not about replacing human creativity — it is about supporting it. Just as artists study techniques from those who came before them, writers learn from books they have read, and creators draw inspiration from the world around them, we believe technology can be used thoughtfully as part of the creative process while still honoring originality and human contribution.
Kids Book Hub reviews and features books based on factors such as overall quality, readability, illustration consistency, age-appropriateness, educational value, and family appeal. Some featured books may include AI-assisted elements, while others are fully hand-created or traditionally illustrated. We believe families and readers should have the freedom to choose the types of books that best align with their own values and preferences.
Above all, the mission of Kids Book Hub is simple:
To help connect great books with children and families.
If you share that mission and have a heart for supporting literacy, indie authors, family-friendly resources, or helping get more books into children’s hands, we would genuinely love to connect with you. Kids Book Hub was built around community, encouragement, and empowering creators — and there is always room for thoughtful people who want to help make a positive impact.
